Remembering Enrico Pagani

Enrico Pagani was born on September 7, 1929 in Shanghai, China. Enrico was an Italian basketball player Italian who played between the 1940s and 1950s.
 
The son of a Russian officer in the Italian Navy, he was nicknamed Ricky or Il cinese. Very personable, he spoke several languages ​​and also appeared in a few films.
 
He won nine Italian titles from and was captain of Olimpia Milano.
 
Pagani played in 38 games with the Italian national team, which began in 1951 with a 40-38 win over France. He took part in the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki, scoring 12 points.
 
In 1957 he appeared in Mario Bonelli 's “I sogni nel cassette”,  a film directed by Renato Castellani. Enrico also appeared in as Chubby in 1966’s “The Brute and the Beast”, but did not have the career of actor Vittorio Gassman who had also played Italian National Basketball.
 
Pagani died on October 2, 1998 in Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
 
Today we remember Enrico Pagani on what would have been his 85th birthday.
