Happy 85th Birthday Linda Sini

Ermelinda Siniscalchi di Venosa was born on February 3, 1926 in Vercelli, Italy. After studying literature and philosophy at the university she moved to Rome and entered acting in both theater and in films. She made her film debut in “Sigillo rosso” directed by Flavio Calzavara in 1950. She was tall, slim and good looking and was perfect for playing secretaries, sisters, daughters and later in her career mothers and matrons. She acted under the names Lynn Shane and Virginia Field but most of the time she was known as Linda Sini. Linda appeared in over 85 films and TV appearances and numerous plays and stage performances. She’s probably best remembered by Euro-western fans for her appearances as Dona Sol Gutierrez in “The Longest Hunt” (1968) opposite Folco Lulli and Brian Kelly and in “Fistful of Lead” with George Hilton and Charles Southwood. Sini appeared in a total of six Euro-westerns After her film career she turned to television retiring in 1986. Today we celebrate Lind Sini’s 85th birthday.
